For my birthday Taylor gave me a trip anywhere with my Mom and Sisters. All of them were on board for one wild weekend. My grandma's came with us as well. I had a great time. Taylor took the kids for 4 day while I went and played with my family, I even left Drew home. Taylor is such a great guy to take this on. I could not thank him enough as well as his Mom for taking them during the day while Taylor was at work. I left on a Friday night and did not get home until Tuesday night. It was a blast. We went to the River Walk, went on a river ride, visited the Alamo and went to Sea World. Which was a blast acting like a little kid in an amusement park. Thanks to everyone that went. I am so glad everyone came. I love you all!!!

Sophie's Ouch

Sophie feel off the couch and hit her head on the coffee table. 1 doctor, 2 nurses, and 6 stitches later. It took 4 of us to hold her down so the doctor could stitch her up. I really can't believe it has taken this long for one of my kids to need stitches.

Today at dinner I was trying to think of what Chloe and Sophie would say was their favorite dessert were. I decided I would just ask them. Chloe said nanna pie without the cream on top. We thought she was so sophisticated with her answer. I then asked Chloe what Sophie's favorite dessert would be and she said everything.

Taylor hiked Mt. Borah on Friday with the scouts. They all seemed to have a great time.

We went to Roaring Springs one night. It was absolutely freezing. The kids loved and I only wished it was warmer.

Taylor went on a little golf tour with three friends from high school. They called it the first annual Boys on Tour.

Chloe also decided this summer that she can cut her own hair. Hence the bald spot front and center. Luckily it covers up pretty good. A few days later I noticed that she had also cut the sides. They are now little wispeys. Got to love the spunk she has.

July and August Update

We are enjoying the last moments of summer before the cooler weather comes our way and our neighbor start decorating for Halloween. We spent a weekend up Provo Canyon with the extended Kartchner family. We love seeing everyone and reminiscing. Two weeks later we rented a cabin in Donnelly for Taylor's immediate family reunion. We enjoyed golfing (for the boys), white water rafting (for the girls) as well as tons of beach time on Lake Cascade. Sorry no pictures of either reunion. Our latest adventure is the purchase of a park as Chloe would call it. A trusty new swing set. I am just waiting for the HOA to issue a citation for it being too white trashy. We have been wanting one for a while now and when I saw it on Craiglist I called immediately. The kids love it and have spent most the day on it today.

We have had a really busy fun summer so far. The end of June we went to Soda Springs for my brother Tony mission homecoming. We also blessed the new babies at the same time.

Me and my girls stayed for the week while Taylor went to work for the week. We went to my 10 year high school reunion. Went to the foam, fireworks, parade, and festivities in the park. My kids loved it.

Well, it has been about 2 months since my last post. Not much is going on in the Kartchner Home. Still waiting for baby #3 to come. With less than 5 weeks left I am feeling huge and ready to have this baby. Taylor just returned home from a dirt biking trip to Utah. They also attended the Motor Cross race in SLC.

The following are a couple of conversations I have had with Chloe recently.

Taylor and I were talking about the Winter Olympics being in Russia in 4 years. We then realized that Chloe would be 8 and getting baptized.

Me: Chloe in 4 years you will be getting baptized.
Chloe: I don't want to get baptized, and you better tell Jesus that.

Another Day:
Chloe was being really bad on the way home from the store. When we got inside the following conversation occurred.

Me: Chloe this is unacceptable behavior
Chloe: Well, I don't know any better.

Moments like these make me laugh so hard.

December was busy as usual. It started off with a trip to Utah for Kari's graduation at Utah State. The next day we got together with the McKendrick family for a little Christmas party. We went to Temple Square, built some serious snowmen, and ate lots of good food. The kids loved it. We spent Christmas in Boise with the Kartchner family. Chloe sure loved her sparkle shoes Santa brought her. After Christmas both girls got really sick and literally feel asleep in the hall.

Yes folks we are expecting baby #3 in early June. Just went to the doctor today and everything is looking good. Chloe is very excited. It was nice to hear only one heart beat at the doctor's office today.Chloe has been telling me the last couple of weeks that there are two babies. Lets just pray that doesn't happen.

Christmas

Is it just me or does Christmas seem to come earlier every year. Don't get me wrong I love Christmas but in November. We haven't even had Thanksgiving yet. My neighbor started decorating his front yard yesterday. Don't forget it was only November 8th. He has his driveway lined with candy canes, 4 wreaths on his house, and 6 large lawn ornaments in the front yard. Maybe I'm just the Grinch but I just don't want to be looking at it for the next 2 months. I don't think I would be so upset about it, but he is also my neighbor that decorated his house for Halloween on September 12th. Which he goes all out for every year with tombstones, Gothic stuff and every Witch he could find. It takes Chloe 6 months to recuperate after being scared out of her wits on Halloween by him (who dresses up with a mask). She won't even talk to the guy for months. But we still got to love them we couldn't ask for better neighbors.

Hawaii 2009

My Grandparents invited us to go to Hawaii with them. Of course we could not turn them down. My cousin just returned from his mission their in August so we all got to go back and live it up with him. It was fun having him as our tour guide and telling us cool stories of his mission. The BSU vs. Hawaii football game was the same time. It all worked out so nicely. We had such a great time hanging out with family. My dear sweet Mother took our kids. Ashley and Todd were with us too so she had 5 kids 6 and under. Thanks Mom we owe you big time.
Taylor lived in Hawaii for a semester while he went to BYU-Hawaii. It was fun having him show us where he lived and the beaches that he like to go to. We found some really good buggie boarding and body surfing beaches. We snorkeled at Hanama Bay on afternoon. Thanks to all for such a great trip. You guys are the best.

Sandy Beach also know as Break Neck Beach. When we got out of the car and the lifeguard saw us with our resort beach towels he came and told us that only experienced swimmers and surfers were allowed in the water. Did we really look that obvious. We found a beach just up the road that was more our skill level.

The Honolulu Stake Tabernacle. This building looked like a combination of a LDS temple and a catholic church. Very interesting. A couple of Honolulu wards attend church here every Sunday. It is in Downtown Honolulu.

Pearl Harbor with Grandma. We had the best weather. We landed in SLC on Friday and it was 38 degrees. Taylor did not take any type of jacket so he looked like this when we got off the plane.

For FHE we carved pumpkins. We were looking online for templates and Chloe saw this one so of course we had to do it. She is planning on being Cinderella for Halloween so I will post pictures soon of them together.

Now a little show and tell. This is my beautiful cousin Erica and her charming new husband Nate. Don't worry the baby is mine. Sophie loved Nate. At one time I had to pry her out of his arms. They were married last weekend in Twin Falls. Such a cute couple.

I got the dreaded phone call from my husband calling to ask me to meet him somewhere to take him to the hospital. He finally did it. What I worry about the most when he rides his dirt bike. He wrecked just going out of the parking lot. So the damage is a broken collar bone and a completely bruised hip. This picture is a couple days after the accident. Our camera finally bit the dust so these pictures were taken on his palm (not the best quality).
About a week later. Looks alot better!!!!

The Tyler's were so nice to put us up for the night. We went to Billie Bob's safari in the Everglades with them. We saw lots of interesting wildlife including turtles, pigs, bison, alligators, deer, did I say pigs, and more pigs.

Can you believe we actually came home. Crystal clear water and 80 degree weather in the Bahamas.

This place is amazing. It reminded us alot of Zion's National Park. You can go and walk thru the rocks behind us. Virgin Gourda (The Bathes). The British Virgin Island.

We went hiking in the DR in mud up to our ankles. You are suppose to rent horses and be carried into this waterfall. That would be for sissy's and people thought we were really strange and kept asking us if we lost our horses. Nope just out for an adventure we would tell them. Our husbands even got asked if they were going to make their wifes walk in mud. One of them replied "Of Course".
